Gorham 1892 Sample Water Pitcher
Exceptional hand wrought sterling water pitcher by Gorham. Marked 4003 within an oval (sample designation) and a date code for 1892. Samples were made in the same rooms as Gorham’s Martele line and were made either as experimental trials or for Expositions and Fairs. An impressive weight of 36 troy ounces, it is completely hand raised with floral chasing and repousse work. 9” high x 8 ¾” long - spout over handle. In excellent condition and crisp floral details. A unique one of a kind example.
